Annual General Meeting 2020

The foundations of the Kamra were laid amid the Sette Giugno uprisings of 1919 when, despite the turmoil brought about by the riots and the end of the Spanish flu pandemic, the new Governor, Field Marshall Herbert Charles Onslow Plumer brought into force the Architects’ Ordinance on the 25th July 1919. Less than a year later, on the 12th June 1920, he enacted Government Notice 202, which established the Chamber of Architects, now known as the Kamra tal-Periti. The Kamra tal-Periti has been entrusted for the second year running to organise three architectural design competitions on behalf of the Housing Authority and the Ministry for Social Accommodation. A Briefing Session will be held on the 16th December 2020, from 15.00hrs to 17.00hrs at the Valletta Campus and via Zoom. Sustainable Communities ADC // Open Site Visits

The three competitions sites forming part of the Sustainable Communities ADCs will be open for all interested architects on Friday 18th December between 9am and 12pm. Representatives of the Contracting Authority and the NGOs will be present on site.
